Finally Apple ipad Hit India



apple ipad The most popular and fastest selling gadget Apple iPad finally come to India nearly 10 months after its US release. So from today iPad will be available in your nearest apple retailer. It is available in six different models-

  • 16 GB with WiFi
  • 16GB with WiFi and 3G
  • 32 GB with WiFi
  • 32 GB with WiFi and 3G
  • 64 GB in WiFi
  • 64 GB with WiFi and 3G.

Apple first introduced the iPad in January last year and began sales in April. The company shipped a total 14.79 million iPads as of Dec 25 last year and research firm iSuppli expects 36.5 million to be sold in 2011.

The iPad comes with a 9.7 inch multi touch screen and has a micro sim card tray. So, you can not insert your regular sim cards in your apple iPad. But this handy gadget does not have a camera

The price in India of the basic model — 16 GB of memory + Wi-Fi — is 27,900 rupees ($609) and ranges up to 44,990 rupees for 64 GB + Wi-Fi + 3G model.

There is a rumour that apple is working on a smaller iPad tablet named iPad 2. It will be released within a few months and will have some special features like dual camera,a high resolution retina display and a faster processor.

BSNL (Rs 999 for 30 days unlimited data usage)has announced 3G plans specifically for the iPad while Airtel, Vodafone and Idea have been selling micro SIM cards (for 3G versions) for some time.
